Answer: 7.5 pounds of chocolate are needed to make 48 signature chocolate muffins.

Explanation:

Given : The amount of chocolate needs for each muffin = 2.5 ounces

Then , the amount of chocolate needs for 48 muffins will be :-

48*2.5=120\text{ ounces}

Since ,
\text{1 pound = 16 ounces.}

Then ,
\text{1 ounce =}(1)/(16)\text{ pound}

Then , the amount of chocolate are needed to make 48 signature chocolate muffins (in pounds) will be :-

120*(1)/(16)=7.5\text{ pounds}

Hence, 7.5 pounds of chocolate are needed to make 48 signature chocolate muffins.

48 muffin-----------------------> X
X=48*2.5------> x=120 ounces of chocolate

if 1 pound-------------> 16 ounces
X------------------> 120 ounces
x=120/16-----> x=7.5 pounds

the answer is
