In four rounds of a card game, you get scores of - 1, - 4, - 8, and 10. What is your final score?

The final score if you're looking for the sum of the numbers would be -3. Remember: Adding a negative is the equivalent of subtracting. Ex. 3 + (-3) = 0.

If you add -1 and -4, you get -5.
If you add -5 and -8, you get -13.
If you add -13 and 10, you get -3.
