Why is email etiquette so important in the workplace

Because it speaks volumes about you as an employee or employer. In the sense of grammar and politeness when you are sending messages. It would be unprofessional if you send emails to your teacher with slangs or internet acronyms like “wyd or ig”. As well as the your email name, imagine sending an email to your boss.
