Answer:

A ±sqrt(3/2 x - 6) = y^-1

Explanation:

y = 2/3 x^2 +4

To find the inverse exchange x and y and solve for y

Exchange x and y

x = 2/3y^2 +4

Solve for y by first subtracting for from each side

x-4 = 2/3y^2 +4-4

x-4 = 2/3y^2

Multiply each side by 3/2

3/2 (x-4) = 3/2*2/3 y^2

3/2 (x-4) = y^2

Distribute

3/2 x - 6= y^2

Take the square root of each side

±sqrt(3/2 x - 6) = sqrt(y^2)

±sqrt(3/2 x - 6) = y
