I would say they are equal at x = 1.47

You can tell because when x = 1.4, f(x) = 3 and g(x) = 2.7. This means that a little bit more on the x and they will touch.

However, when x = 1.5, f(x) = 3.3 and g(x) = 3.4, which means that g(x) has passed f(x) at that point, and will most likely not touch again.

This means they touch when x is between 1.4 and 1.5, but must be closer to 1.5 because they do not yet touch at 1.4.

You can say it's 1.47 or 1.48.
