THE EQUATION IS:
(3 + x) / (11) = (3) / (2) SOLVE BY STEP: 3 + x = ((3) / (2)) * (11) 3 + x = ((3) / (2)) * (11)
SIMPLFY: 3 + x = 16.5 x = 16.5 - 3 x = 13.5X IS EQUAL TO: x = 13.5 (decimal)
Note convert to fraction if nessary

For this case by similarity of triangles we can use the following relationship:
(3 + x) / (11) = (3) / (2)
We clear the value of x:
3 + x = ((3) / (2)) * (11)
3 + x = ((3) / (2)) * (11)
3 + x = 16.5
x = 16.5 - 3
x = 13.5
Answer:
The value of x is:
x = 13.5
or equivalently:
x = 27/2
