Answer:New solute dissolves when put in the solution.

arrow= unsaturated

The solute spontaneously becomes undissolved.

arrow= supersaturated.

New solute doesn’t dissolve when placed in the solution.

arrow= saturated

Explanation: This will get you right and the one at the top will get you wrong.

In order to check either the solution is unsaturated, saturated or supersaturated, take a small amount of solute same as that present in solution and put in the solution and examine the following changes.

If the Solution is Unsaturated:
The solute when added in unsaturated solution readily dissolves showing that there is more space available for incoming solute to dissolve.

If the Solution is Saturated:
If the solution is Saturated , then upon addition of Solute, the solute will sink and will remain undissolved. This shows that there is no more space for incoming solute to dissolve.

If the Solution is Supersaturated:
Heat the solution, and add the solute. If the solute remains undissolved on higher temperature it means the solution is supersaturated.
