This is Josh’s solution for the equation x^2+12x+32=0:

x^2+12x+32=0
x^2+12x=-32
x^2+12x+36=-32+36
(x+6)^2=4
x+6=4
x=-2
x+6=-4
x=-10
Is Josh’s solution correct? Explain why or why not.

x²+12x+32=0
x²+12x=-32
x²+12x+36=-32+36
(x+6)²=4 all after this part is wrong ,it should be √(x+6)² = +/-√4
x+6=+/-2, x1=2-6=-4, x2=-2-6=-8
x+6=4 wrong!
x=-2
x+6=-4
x=-10
