10 + 34 = 44 what happened to the minus sign.

10 +(-34) Remove the brackets.
10 + - 34 But a plus multiplied by a minus = a minus.
10 - 34 = - 24 This is how B is written. It is the correct answer.

10 +(-34) comes down to 10? How. You've ignored the - 34. You can't just ignore things.

44? that means that when you remove the brackets in the original question, you get
10+-34 = 10 +34 = 44. But you cannot just make the - disappear

Answer B <<<<< It is the only one that handled the minus correctly

10 + (-34) is the same as 10 - 34, for adding a negative number is the same as subtracting the two numbers

remember, one positive and one negative = negative (as it is the same as +1(-34)
