x<8 is what you get when you solve the inequality. To graph it, color anything before 8

Part I: Solving the inequality:

(-x)/(4) - 6 > -8


(-x)/(4) > -8 + 6


(-x)/(4) > -2

-x > -2*4
-x > -8
Now multiply both sides by -1 to get x as a positive value. Remember that when multiplying by a negative number, we flip the inequality sign.
This will give us:
x < 8
Therefore, the solution is:
x ∈ (-∞,8)
