6.5 liters of soup, correct to nearest 0.5 liters.
⇒ Lower bound = 6.450 liters = 6450 ml
⇒higher bound = 6.549 liters = 6549 ml

She served soup in 280 ml, correct to nearest 10ml
⇒ Lower bound = 275 ml
⇒higher bound = 284 ml

To ensure that we definitely have enough, we take the lower bound of the soup divided by the higher bound of each serving:

6450 ÷ 284 = 22.7 servings.

Answer: Joy definitely does have enough soup

Hi !

Total soup : 6.5L = 6 500 mL

Portions of 280 mL : 6 500 ÷ 280 ≈ 23,21 23 portions

23 > 22

Joy definitely does have enough soup
