Theodore D Weld was an American anti-slavery crusader in the pre-Civil War period. He participated in anti-slavery debates and lead a group of students, he later became an agent or the American Anti-Slavery Society with an active role in recruiting and training people to work for the cause. He is remembered for converting well-known abolitionists like James G. Birney, Henry Beecher, and Harriet Beecher.
