The two couples (Hermia and Lysander and Helena and Demetrius), with the help of Oberon and Puck's magic, sorted out their own coupling issues. Demetrius gave up his pursuit of Hermia, so Theseus commanded the the two couples could get married in happiness with himself and Hippolyta.
