Georgia is 2 years younger than 1/3 of her Aunt Mika's age. Write an expression that describes Georgia's age. How old is Georgia if her Aunt Mika is 27?

Let's say Georgia's age is x and Mika's age is y
x = (1/3)*y - 2

If y = 27:
x = (1/3)*27 - 2
= 9 - 2
= 7
Therefor Georgia is 7 years old if her aunt is 27 years old
