Hello!

The equation to find the volume of a cone is

V = \pi r^(2) (h)/(3)

v is volume
r is radius
h is height

Put in 3.14 for pi and the numbers we know

V = 3.14 * 8^(2) (16)/(3)

Square the 8

V = 3.14 * 64 (16)/(3)

multiply 64 by 3.14

V = 200.96 * (16)/(3)

Multiply

V = 1071.78

We round to the nearest tenth

V = 1071.8

The answer is 1071.8 cubic inches

Hope this helps!

Volume of a cone:

V = (1)/(3) \pi r^2 h

where
V = volume
r = radius of the base
h = height of the cone

In this case, r = 8 in., and h = 16 in.

V = (1)/(3) \pi r^2 h

V = (1)/(3) * 3.14 * (8~in.)^2 * 16~in.

V = 1071.8~in.^3
