we are given

to divide
y^3-4y^2+7y-6

by (y-2)

We can use long division method

we get

Quotient=y^2-2y+3

Remainder=0

we can also write our expression as

(y^3-4y^2+7y-6)/(y-2) =(y^2-2y+3)+(0)/((y-2))............Answer
