total ppl went Fri n Sat = 229+256 = 485
but 24 went both nights so need to subtract the double-counting
= 485-24 = 461

that is out of 1000 ppl
so probability = 461/1000 = 0.461

ans is C

229 + 256 = 485

485 - 24 = 461

461 converted into probability =

(461)/(1000) = 0.461
Answer is C.

Hope this helps. - M
