Given Statement about Gooseberry farm:

Customers pay $3 to entree the farm and $2.50 per pound for the berries they pick.

To Find: An equation to model the total cost, Y, for x pounds of berries.

Solution:

Total Cost = Entree Fee inside the farm + (x) Γ— $2.50 per pound for the berries they pick.

→Y= $3 + $2. 50 x→→It is a linear equation in two Variables. Here x is amount of Berries per pound picked by customers.x=0,1,2,3,4.....(Whole Numbers)
