Some marine fish species release sperm and eggs in a process called spawning. when one individual spawns, chemicals are released that promote spawning in other nearby individuals. what kind of feedback is illustrated this example?

Positive feedback. The stimulus increases the rate of production of that same stimulus.

Answer: This is an example of positive feedback.

The word spawns means to release egg or sperm by the aquatic animals and when it is an act of both sexes it is called spawning. Spawn contains the gametes or the reproductive cells required for reproduction out of which some get fertilized producing off springs. It is observed that positive-density dependent feedback along with the proper conditions leads to synchronous spawning in mass. The synchrony in the form of chemical signalling is necessary for the meeting of male and female gametes.
