Answer: A. he had the desk raised

The Resolute desk is a large, nineteenth-century desk given as a gift by Queen Victoria in 1880 and since then was used by the presidents of the United States.

President Ronald Reagan requested that the desk be raised higher because he was he was hitting his legs on the top of the knee hole. To raise the test, a new base was built and its earliest image in White House was dated August 13, 1982.
