there are 6 sides. assuming “less than 5” means not including 5 then the fraction would be 4/6 which reduces to 2/3. which dividing to get a percent is 66.67% hope this helps

Answer:

Hence, the theoretical probability of rolling a number less than 5 is:

(2)/(3)=0.6667

Explanation:

Theoretical Probability:

Probability based on reasoning written as a ratio of the number of favorable outcomes to the number of possible outcomes.

Hence we are asked to find the theoretical probability of rolling a number less than 5.

The number which are less than 5 are: {1,2,3,4}

Hence, number of favourable outcomes are=4

Total outcomes are: {1.2,3,4,5,6}

Number of total outcomes=6.

Hence, Theoretical probability of obtaining a number less than 5 is:

(4)/(6)\\\\=(2)/(3)=0.6667
