Described below are the first two steps for constructing a parallel line through a point. 1. Start with a line PQ and a point R off the line. 2. Draw a transverse line through R and across the line PQ at an angle, forming the point J where it intersects the line PQ. What is the exact angle required in step 2?

No exact angle is the answer :)

Angle RJQ.

We can use this angle to create Alternate interior angles and draw the other line parallel to PQ.
