10 of the students in an algebra class passed an algebra test. If these students are 50% of all the students in the class, how many students are in this algebra class?​

Answer:

50% is a pretty simple number and a percentage almost everyone knows.

Since this is usually common knowledge we can say that 10 is equal to said 50%. We need to find out how many people there are in this class, and we can set up two separate equations of addition. 50%+50%=x

10+10=k

50+50%=100% which is the max amount of kids that there cna be in this classroom, and that there are. This means that the number which is equal to 50% plus itself will also equal 100% of the students.

10+10=20
