.
Catecholamines are monoamines
derived from the amino acid tyrosine.
Arachidonic acid is a
carboxylic acid present in the phospholipids that is a precursor for different molecules. The enzymes cyclooxygenases concert this acid into prostaglandins and then to thromboxanes.
