According to freud's theory, the developmental periods that leave their mark on adult personality are "psychosexual stages".


Freud (1905) proposed the stages of psychological development which happens in a progression.These are called psychosexual stages in light of the fact that each stage speaks to the obsession of libido on an alternate places on the body.
