LOL I dont know if this 420 is a joke but I will solve.
x= dimes y= quarters
x plus y= 24
10x plus 25y= 420
-10x plus -10y = -240
15y= 180
y= 12
x plus 12 =24
x=12
12 dimes and 12 quarters.
