Max Weber said that a person who pursues profit removed from any sense of right and wrong has parceled out his soul.

Explanation:

Max Weber was a philosopher with an intellectual foundation standing on the idea of humanitarianism. He believed that one who seeks profit out of every little activity of his is the one who is living without a soul.

He mentions that such people are unempathetic towards others in most situations.

I believe the answer is: Parceled out his soul

Max weber believed that people who live solely for profit often created some sort of negative collateral for other people around them.
In order to be able to do this, those people need to be unemphatic toward other people well being or 'to be wihout a soul'
