1) dependent is the earnings because earnings depend on the number of hours worked.
independent is the hours worked because it doesn't depend on anything.
2) Perimeter is dependent in the side length and the independent is the side length.
3) The independent is always the y-axis. and the dependent is the x-axis.
independent: larger number
dependent: smaller number
