Answer:
Everything we do, from politics to education to work decisions to family decisions, is based on the past. The culture that has no memory of the past has functional amnesia and is going to do a lot of not so good things. In fact we currently do have functional amnesia because only half of history is being taught, that half which serves the interests of certain political parties, and the other half is being suppressed because it would actually give people a balanced view of things, make them less likely to hate a whole group of people, make them more understanding of the nuances of people’s points of view. History is probably the most important subject apart from reading that is taught in the school system and it has been corrupted. In truth, real history is fascinating and full of unbelievable and spectacular facts. Understanding history also helps us to understand ourselves, other people, how things work in the world and this leads to a better prospect for us in life.
