Lot 1 lies where two roads meet at a 79° angle. Lot 2 lies where two roads meet at a 65° angle. Lot 3 lies where two roads meet at a 36° angle. All lots have two sides measuring 20 feet as shown. A fence runs along the back wall of each property, as shown in the diagram. Which lot has the longest fence along the back wall? Which lot has the shortest fence along the back wall?

Answer: Lot 1 has the longest fence while Lot 3 has the shortest fence.

Step-by-step explanation: Here, the two sides of each lots are equal then we can say that the third side which is opposite to the given angles is directly proportional to that angle. if the angle increases the third side will be increase.

We can understand it with help of the given diagram.

since the first Lot has the largest angle 79° thus it has the largest fence while the 3rd lot has the lowest angle 36° so it has the lowest or shortest fence.

Lot 1 lies where two roads meet at a 79° angle. Lot 2 lies where two roads meet at-example-1
