Answer : The value of 'a' and 'b' is, 50 and 75 respectively.

Step-by-step explanation :

As we are given two equations.

3a+b=225 ...........(1)

b-a=25 ............(2)

or,

b=25+a ...........(3)

Now put equation 3 in equation 1, we get the value of 'a'.

3a+b=225

3a+25+a=225

4a+25=225

4a=225-25

4a=200

a=(200)/(4)

a=50

Now put the value of 'a' in equation 3, we get the value of 'b'.

b=25+a

b=25+50

b=75

Thus, the value of 'a' and 'b' is, 50 and 75 respectively.
