Can you still use the Pythagorean theorem to find the missing side length of 45-45-90 and 30-60-90 triangles or do they not work for these types of right triangles

Hi there!

If you know the length of two side lengths and need to find the length of the third side length, you can definitely use Pythagorean theorem or inverse Pythagorean theorem to solve, but if you only know the angles of the triangle, you'll heed to use laws of sine, cosine, and tangent.
