Cameron and his family were eating leftover lasagna. There was 1/2 of the lasagna left. Cameron has one brother, one sister, and two parents. If everyone gets the same size piece, what fraction of the original lasagna does each of the member of Cameron's family receive?

My answer was 1/10, but I'm not really sure. Is my answer correct?

Solution:

we are given that

Cameron and his family were eating leftover lasagna. There was 1/2 of the lasagna left.

Cameron has one brother, one sister, and two parents....it mean a total of 5 family members.

Everyone gets the same size piece.

It mean we are going to divide 1/2 of the leftover lasagna among 5 people.

SO the fraction of left over lasagna that each person will get is
(1/2)/(5) =(1)/(10)th
