Domat claims that all men are equal. Under an Absolute Monarchy, is this true?

No. An Absolute Monarchy gives one person, usually a man, full power over his peers and puts him above the law. He is not equal to his peers, he is far above them. And in this being true, he can make others higher or lower in status as he wishes, furthering the ideas of all men being equal. The concept of a Government formed with one man solely being in charge as he is above everyone else does not align with the ideas of everyone being equal (Democracy).
