The answer is D. K-strategy reproduction involves reduced quantity of offspring with a corresponding increased parental investment. This is as opposed to r-strategy reproduction which involves the increased quantity of offspring at the expense of individual parental investment. An example of K-strategy reproduction is that of whales.
