Surface area of the cube (excluding the bottom) = 5 ( 3 x 3 ) = 45 in²

Surface area of the rectangular prism:
Area of the top rectangle (excluding the cube) = 14 x 8 - 3 x 3 = 103 in²
Area of the bottom rectangle = 14 x 8 = 112 in²
Area of the 4 lateral rectangles = 2(14 + 8) x 6 = 264 in²
Surface area of the rectangular prism = 103 + 112 + 264 = 479 in²

Total surface area = 45 + 379 = 524 in²

Answer; Surface Area = 524 in²

Surface area of the top cylinder (excluding the bottom) = π(6)² + 2π(6)(10) = 490.09 in²

Surface area of the rectangular prism = 6(14 x 14) - π(6)² = 1062.90 in².

Total surface area = 490.09 + 1062.90 = 1553.0 in² (nearest hundredth)

Answer: Surface Area = 1553.0 in²
