Let the number of adult tickets sold be x.
Adult tickets = x
Chid tickets = 3x
A total of 600 were sold.
⇒ x + 3x = 600
Solve x:
x + 3x = 600
4x = 600
x = 600 ÷ 4
x = 150
Answer: 150 adult tickets were sold.
