Which functions are symmetric with respect to the y-axis? Check all that apply.

f(x) = |x|
f(x) = |x| + 3
f(x) = |x + 3|
f(x) = |x| + 6
f(x) = |x – 6|
f(x) = |x + 3| – 6

When a function is symmetric with respect to the y axis, it means that the function is even:
f(-x)=f(x),\forall x\in\mathbb{R}
We can check easily that the following function verify the above property:

f(x)=\vert x\vert\\f(x)=\vert x\vert+3\\f(x)=\vert x\vert+6
