First we have to solve the inequality


8 + y \geqslant 11


subtract 8 from both sides to get


y \geqslant 3


this means that any number greater than or equal to three will make this inequality true as such you can say, 3,4,5 or 4,8,10 or even 34, 100, 44 the three numbers selected just have to be greater than or equal to 3.
