Answer:

The emancipation proclamation changed the course of the American Civil War. With the Emancipation proclamation, France and England stopped to support the confederacy. Since the Confederate army had an advantage due to slave labor. but after the Emancipation Proclamation, African-American could serve in the army. The Union forces were at an advantage due to the huge number of slaves joining the army. And hence it changed the course of the war in favor of the Union.
