-2 = \frac{x}+2{6}

And we need to solve for x. To do this, we must isolate it. So, you can multiply both sides by six to get rid of it:

-2*6 = x+2

-12=x+2

Subtract 2:

-12-2=x

x=-14

So, x = -14.
