For this case what we can do is the following rule of three:
161,809,242 ------> 100%
x ---------------------> 5.9%
Clearing x we have:
x = (161809242) * (5.9 / 100)
x = 9546745.278
Nearest whole number:
x = 9546745
Answer:
had been diagnosed about 9546745 females
