it might be expected that wealthy countries would have higher birth rates because wealthy families can support more children. However this is not the pattern seen in most developed countries. Suggest some reasons why this might be so

1.) Wealthier families don’t need to pop out as many kids because they don’t need the extra labor and “spares” in case the older children don’t survive

2.) Poorer families can’t afford protection
