Hi there!

The correct answer is that
(1)/(3) is greater than
(1)/(4). The reason why is because when dealing fractions the smaller the denominator the larger each part of something gets and the larger the numerator gets the more amount of parts you get. See the difference between
(1)/(3) and
(1)/(4) in the pie charts below:

1/3 = ~0.333
1/4 = 0.25

0.25 < 0.33 ( rounded)

Therefore, 1/3 is greater.
