Read this passage: Macb. If trembling I inhabit then, protest me The baby of a girl. Hence, horrible shadow! Unreal mockery, hence! [Ghost vanishes.] Why, so; being gone, I am a man again. Pray you, sit still. What effect do these lines have on the reader? A. They create a feeling of surprise in the play. B. They create a feeling of warmth and love. C. They create a feeling of boredom. A. According to the passage, the ghost vanished and turned into a man again.

B is incorrect because it says " Hence, Horrible shadow." ( keyword: horrible )

C. Is incorrect because none of the characters in the story expressed boredom.

D. is incorrect because there was nobody having fun or playfulness.

So A is correct.

Hope this helps!
