Hello!
If x equals five, then we simply need to replace x with the number it represents in order to solve the equation.
2x + 4 =
2(5) + 4 =
10 + 4 = 14
The answer to your question is
4.

Hey there again!
We know x = 5
2 * 5 = 10
10 + 4 = 14
Your answer is 14. 2x + 4 = 14.
