=1/2 pound ham ÷ 3
=1/2 ÷ 3/1
to divide fractions, multiply by reciprocal/inverse of 3
=1/2 * 1/3
=1/6 pound per sandwich

ANSWER: Each of the 3 sandwiches can have 1/6 pound of ham

Hope this helps! :)
