Hi there again!

Since x = 5, we also plug this into the equation.

5x + 3x
= 5*5 + 3*5
= 25 + 15
= 40

So, the answer is 40.

Hope this helps!

Hey there!

Since we know that x = 5, we first multiply 5 and 5 . . .

5 * 5 = 25

3 * 5 = 15

25 + 15 = 40 <----

The correct answer is 40.

5x + 3x = 40.

Hope this helps you.
Have a great day!
