Answer is: mass of product is 649.35 g.
Balanced chemical reaction: Ca(s)+Cl₂(g) → CaCl₂(s).
m(Ca) = 23.4 g.
n
(Ca) = m(Ca) ÷ M(Ca).
n(Ca) = 23.4 g ÷ 40 g/mol.
n(Ca) = 0.585 mol.
From chemical reaction: n(Ca) : n(CaCl₂) = 1 : 1.
n(CaCl₂) = 0.585 mol.
m(CaCl₂) = 0.585 mol · 111 g/mol.
m(CaCl₂) = 649.35 g.
