A farm is to be built in the shape of Quadrilateral ABCD, as shown below. All four sides are equal.

A rhombus ABCD is shown with diagonal AC equal to 15.5 feet and diagonal BD equal to 13.2 feet.

What is the area of the farm?

pleas only pick from the 4 below

62 square feet

52.8 square feet

Hello! I am here to help others with this question. I am sorry I am so late with this but I am sure it will help other people who are stuck on this question now. So, you can see that they already split the quadrilateral into 4 triangles. All you have to do is calculate the area of 1 of those triangles, then multiply your answer by 4. To calculate the area of 1 triangle, you need to split 15.5 and 13.2 in half. This gives you 7.75 and 6.6 feet squared. Now, you need the expression used to calculate the area. We use 1/2 x B x H. B stands for base, H stands for height, and 1/2 just means after you multiply base and height, you divide your answer into half. You do this because you calculated a whole square or rectangle, and the triangle is only half of a rectangle or square. So 7.75 x 6.6 = 51.15. Now divide 51.15 into half, you get 25.575. Now multiply that by 4 (your 4 triangles in the quadrilteral) and you get 102.3!

Thus, the answer to this question is Option B: 102.3

Area of a rhombus = 1/2 x diagonal 1 x diagonal 2
= 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 13 1/5
= 1/2 x 31/2 x 66/5
=31/2 x 33/5
= 1023/10
= 102.3

Final Answer: 102.3 square feet
